Esperanto
If you venture deep into Alphabet City you can find this little gem. Esperanto is a Brazilian and South American bistro that plays live music Saturday through Thursday. Main course will set you back an average of $14 a plate but from my repeat visits and all the guests that I’ve taken here it’s well worth it.
Esperanto is fairly small and loud so I would not recommend bringing any small kids but it’s ideal for small groups or first dates. Don’t forget to order a Mojito or Caipirinha while waitng for a table or during dinner.
